@Buczas, Bossmon, Evil Piper: The x# at the beginning or end of a map name indicates the amount of players that particular map accommodates.

@Brian: Nope, there are several public/private reverse engineering teams working on it though. Personally I wouldn’t expect any type of stable internet/network play for several months- these things take a lot of time and effort.

I’m sorry, I got ahead of myself- the x# on a map isn’t max players, it’s max computer opponents. This number only appears on hacked maps (which are really no longer necessary unless you find some that accommodate more than 4 players (the max for all official maps I’ve seen)

the 1x, 2x and 3x next to maps are the number of bots like lost temple(2x) = you and other 2 bots

the 1x, 2x & 3x are for the number of players allowed on that map. 1x = you vs AI, 2x you vs 2 AI or in some launchers you can team up with an AI player, 3x you vs 3 or teams, etc…

But for me, no matter what I pick (1X 2X 3X etc..) there is still 4 computers on the map (if its a 4 P map of course). Does it make it so that that amount of comps has the AI? Or do the comps alrady have the AI in them?`

I followed the directions very carefully about 10 times un installing and re installing every, but nothing is working. I keep getting this error when I try to open maps or difficulty – Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Acces to the registry key
‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Launcher’ is denied.

That message is written down exactly as it says.

Sorry that I’m here to ask noobish question, but I have a problem launching the game.

Okay, “Launching” isn’t exactly the problem. Everything WORKS… right up to the part where only the map loads and the game doesn’t really load…. as in I have everything working, but no base that I start with. Everything is in fog of war, and I always start out at bottom left corner of the map. What should I do?

Maybe you’re selecting referee or spectator in your slot, like when you set Computer, Open, Closed on the 2º 3º ..
