A number of users are complaining that Battle.net is not doing a good job of tracking achievements. Installing Starcraft 2 to a netbook is a fairly straightforward process.  For our test run we installed to an Asus eee 1000h with 2gb of ram, and a 1.6ghz first generation atom processor.  Modern notebooks are a bit faster, and I imagine will run the beta significantly better than our tests did.
